Garden Snippets and Sprites

Our garden is really starting to produce. We have picked quite a few big, luscious raspberries this last week. Last year the raspberries were just berries -- red, small, seedy, but with a good raspberry flavor. This year however, the raspberries are VERY good -- big, juicy, sweet, with a robust raspberry taste. Molly helped me pick some the first evening she was here. We did manage to put more in the baskets than what we put in our mouths, but just "barely." (That's a Randy joke for you!)

Here is a baby pumpkin -- we may actually have some ripe pumpkins before the fair this year. Last year the boys had to take half ripe pumpkins. That's OK though because half of the county had half ripe pumpkins too!

There is an old saying that your corn should be " knee-high by the fourth of July." Our corn made it (the first planting at least--the second planting is only about ankle high)
